TheFirstTimeITriedSlamming
Myjourneywithdrugaddictionbeganatayoungage.Asateenager,Iexperimentedwithvariousdrugsandquicklyfoundmyselfspiralingoutofcontrol.Despitemyinitialreservations,Ieventuallyfoundmyselfcuriousaboutslamminganddecidedtotryitformyself.

Eventually,myaddictioncaughtupwithme.Isufferedasevereoverdosethatnearlytookmylife,andIrealizedthatIneededhelp.Icheckedmyselfintorehabandbeganthelonganddifficultroadtorecovery.
TheRoadtoRecovery
Recoveringfromaddictionisnevereasy,butit’sworthit.I’velearnedfirsthandthatthere’snosuchthingasasafedrugorasafewaytousedrugs.Slammingisoneofthemostdangerouswaystousedrugs,andit’scriticalthatpeopleunderstandtherisksandconsequencesbeforemakingthesamemistakeIdid.
Throughtherapy,supportgroups,andastrongcommitmenttosobriety,I’vebeenabletoturnmylifearound.I’velearnedtolivewithoutdrugsandfindjoyandfulfillmentinotherareasofmylife.Gettingsoberisn’teasy,butit’sthebestdecisionI’veevermade.
